Locally Sourced NW was created by the owners of CK Events. As event planners, we are always looking for great ways to gift our clients and to help them gift their guests. We find that the best gifts are things that you can find locally. We love sending our friends and families our favorite things from our city. Shopping small is near and dear to our hearts and we feel that this is a fantastic opportunity to encourage others to support the small businesses in the gorgeous Pacific NW.
Hello! I am Kayla, the blog writer, social media poster, taste tester, box packer, wife, and mom of two awesome girls. You will also notice that I am constantly changing my hair color. Yup, you will have to get used to that :).
To help you get a grasp of who I am I will say this. I think that I am a fun and outgoing person, I am married to one of my best friends and work full time with the other. My dad is my favorite person (aside from my children and husband). I love to hang out with my girlfriends, going to lunch and having too much wine on a Monday is an ideal situation for me.
My main goal in life is to live a life full of excitement and love. I want weekends with my family, day trips to the beach, long drives to the mountain, girls weekends, and date nights with my husband!
Thanks so much for checking out our site and blog, I will try my best to keep providing you with fun and interesting info about this amazing city we live in and the awesome small business owners that create the products you will find in our boxes!
I’m Chelsea, one of the co-owners of Locally Sourced NW. Most people know me from being the C of CK Events! I have always wanted to be an event planner since I was a little girl and owning my own business was just another step in the right direction for me.
I majored in business in college and love all the layers there is to running a business! No two days are the same and there is always something new to learn. Locally Sourced NW brings me different opportunities and learning experiences when it comes to running a business. There is so much possibility for this business to grow in different directions and getting to experience it with my best friend make things even more exciting!
When I’m not staining boxes, prepping, tying the ribbons on the boxes and planning events, you will find me spending time with my family and taking the time on weekends to enjoy everything that Portland has to offer. I’m always up for girl time though - getting pampered with manicures and pedicures and drinking champagne, are two of my favorite things!
